GPS - If driving and using GPS, it will send you will be instructed to go down Canal Street to the ferry. You can do that and ride the ferry across but if you don't want to deal with Downtown traffic, ignore that instruction and come over the bridge. GPS will redirect you once you cross.
Taxi Cab - If taking a cab from the airport, make sure you print directions from our website as we have a lot of new cab drivers in town that don't know the city as well as they should.
Directions from I-10/Airport (from the East or West):
Take I-10 towards New Orleans (you will see signs for Business District - follow). Follow over Mississippi River Bridge to the Westbank (Hwy.90). Take the Gen. DeGaulle East exit. At the first red light turn left onto Shirley Drive. Follow to end and at red light (Federal City) turn left onto Gen. Meyer. At next red light turn right onto Behrman Place. Turn left at end onto Opelousas Ave. Continue to a small park on your right (about mile) and turn right onto Seguin St. Go to stop sign and turn right onto Pelican Ave. We are on the right of that block at no. 335 (pink house, white picket fence) one house from the corner of Bermuda St.
Directions from Houma:
From Hwy. 90 take Business 90 East exit to the Westbank. Follow to the elevated expressway. Take exit 9 (Terry Parkway/Gen. DeGaulle exit). Turn right at second red light onto Gen. DeGaulle Dr. Turn left almost immediately at first red light onto Shirley Dr. Follow above directions from Shirley Dr.
